About EACOP

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a midstream development across Uganda and Tanzania. Once completed, EACOP will operate the 1,443 km crude oil export pipeline transporting crude oil from Kabaale–Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania.


Job Summary

The Offtake and Transportation Manager will lead and coordinate the planning and execution of Lake Albert crude oil export operations through the Tanga Terminal.

The role involves managing reliable offtake and lifting schedules, monthly volume and tariff statements, vessel vetting and validation, and coordination between upstream shippers, terminal marine operations, joint venture partners and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Monthly Volume & Tariff Statements

  1. Consolidate production forecasts from Lake Albert Coordinators.
  2. Prepare production entitlements.
  3. Check production forecasts against actual production.
  4. Consolidate production figures from upstream coordinators.
  5. Prepare monthly statements.
  6. Handle tariff payment and Payment in Kind matters.
  7. Consolidate stock accounts with the operations team.


Exports Planning

  1. Prepare lifting programmes allocating export cargo between field partners.
  2. Monitor production maintenance schedules.
  3. Anticipate production changes and adjust export programmes.
  4. Manage scheduling impacts and communicate changes to stakeholders.


Vetting & Vessel Validation

  1. Manage vessel vetting submissions for vessels loading at Tanga Terminal.
  2. Ensure vessel validation aligns with terminal operational constraints.
  3. Coordinate with vetting and JV partners on vessel approvals.


Operations

  1. Ensure commercial and operational instructions and documentation are in place.
  2. Provide operational follow-up.
  3. Follow up on claims such as demurrage and loss.
  4. Contribute to claim resolution.


Projects & Procedures

  1. Contribute to Power BI dashboards for Uganda lifting performance.
  2. Develop a procedure leaflet for Tanga Terminal lifting coordination.


HSE

  1. Comply with EACOP HSE requirements.
  2. Ensure operational instructions comply with HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Marine or Logistics.
  2. 4–6 years' experience in:
  3. E&P logistics;
  4. Marine logistics;
  5. Trading/Shipping; or
  6. Terminal Operations.
  7. Proven experience in a comparable terminal offtaking coordination role.

Technical & Behavioural Competencies
  1. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  2. Power BI/data analysis skills.
  3. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  4. Strong problem-solving ability.
  5. Proactive, diplomatic and team-oriented.
  6. Excellent communication skills.

  8. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  9. High availability, including regular weekend duties.
  10. Strong respect for deadlines.
